PREPARING FOR THE PARTY

• What type of party is it?? (Formal, special occasion, holiday, etc.)
• Decide if you want drinks, finger foods, buffet, full meal, or other
• What’s your party theme?
• Decide amount of guests will be attending
• Have you set a date, time, and place for the party?
• Determine a RSVP through text or email
• Book the venue also pay any deposit
• Make a shopping list -- including small items like napkins and candles etc Make lists of tasks that can be done in advance
• Set Yourself a budget to buy some of the following
• Decorations, including flowers, centre pieces, balloons, scene setters etc.
• These all help to make a fab party.
• Food and beverage
• Invitations and postage or maybe send invites through email save the pennies
• Rental space & entertainment e.g. live band, dj or maybe some good cds
FOUR WEEKS PRIOR
• Put together your guest list and gather addresses and phone numbers
• Order invitations or have them custom designed
• Purchase decorations, tableware, and other supplie
• Book entertainment and caterer if necessary
• Plan your menu finger foods work great in a buffet
• Contact any friends or family and ask them to help you organize
• Post the invites
• Pick out the music
ONE TO TWO WEEKS BEFORE
• Confirm any friends, family, and hired service people to help out on the big day
• Pick out your party outfit…is a must!!
• Finalize the space layout and decorations
• Go food shopping
TWO DAYS BEFORE
• Clean your house if party is at home
• Begin decorating the party
• Gather your supplies and equipment together
• Shop for any last-minute food or decorations
• If entertainers have been booked confirm their attendance
• Assign tasks to all those who wish to help out
• Make preparations for cleaning up; ensure enough rubbish bags and cleaning utensils
THE BIG DAY
• Finalize the decorations and place all the settings
• Instruct any volunteers helping out what to do
• Relax and enjoy yourself!
THE PARTY ENDS
• Collect photos put in nice album
• Send some thank you cards�
